Over 30 people from the village of Spott and nearby attended last night’s public meeting. A number of apologies were also received.
Participants had a chance to express initial views and concerns about the Community Association’s proposal to build a safe path, and made a good range of constructive comments and suggestions, having heard more about Sustrans’ funding objectives under Places for Everyone and some of the technical considerations and likely constraints, given the topography and physical barriers, namely the A1 dual carriageway.
Voting charts were made available and the results suggested strong support in principle to the idea of path. Additionally, problems and concerns were recorded on the display maps with questions taken at the end of the short talk by Crispin Hayes Associates, consultants, who organised and facilitated the meeting.
