I have often thought about this and think it’s a great idea. Although I regularly see pedestrians on the road from Dunbar to Spott, I would never walk on it myself as it is very dangerous. To be honest, the way some people drive on it, it’s a bit dodgy even in a car!
If there was a walkway, I would definitely use it as pedestrian (Dunbar is well within my walking range), and I might even consider getting a bike, as I would then be linked to other cycleways and could avoid cycling on the road, which I am nervous about doing in this area.
